Privacy Policy

The short version: your photos never reach us, because there is nowhere for them to go. This page explains exactly what that means.

Tracenil processes your images entirely inside your browser, on your own device. We do not upload, store, log, or transmit your photos. You can confirm this yourself — open your browser's network tools while using the tool, or disconnect from the internet and watch it keep working.

What we collect

Nothing. Tracenil has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We do not ask for your name, email, or any personal detail to use the tool.

Your photos

When you select a photo, it is read and processed locally by your browser using standard web technologies. The image is never sent to a server — ours or anyone else's. When you close or refresh the page, it is gone from memory. We keep no copy because we never receive one.

Cookies and tracking

Tracenil sets no cookies and runs no analytics. There are no third-party tracking scripts, no advertising pixels, and no fingerprinting. The tool is a single HTML file with no external dependencies, which you can read in full on our GitHub repository.

Hosting

Tracenil is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like virtually all web hosts, Cloudflare may automatically record standard technical request information (such as IP address and browser type) in its server logs for security and reliability purposes. This is handled by Cloudflare under its own policies and is not used by us to identify or track you. We do not have access to your photos through these logs — your images are never part of any network request.

Children's privacy

Tracenil is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how Tracenil works in a way that affects your privacy — for example, by adding a feature that involves a server — we will update this page and the "last updated" date above before that change takes effect.
